HELP US HELP OUR FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS FIND HOMES! |
There are a number of animals in NE Ohio who need homes.
Some are young. Some are old. Some are large. Some are tiny. Some are incredibly energetic. Some are quite shy. Some have had a very rough life. Some are only a few weeks old.
Although they come in all shapes and sizes, they have some major things in common:
They don't deserve to be living in a shelter, they deserve a loving home.
They will be forever grateful to the family who welcomes them into their home.
They have big hearts that are ready to latch onto a new owner
They just need to be given a chance
The chance part — that's where 96.5 KISS FM and our corporate partners on this program come in. Together, we're going to get the word out about local canines at multiple animal shelters who need homes. Together we'll help 50 dogs find terrific homes.

FEATURED PET OF THE WEEK! |
So I am not a perfect dog – but I will let you know a little secret.. there is no such thing. But.. I come pretty close. My dad had to give me up because he was working so much and you know he was a bachelor so now I picked up a couple habits that aren’t so lady like I drink out of the toilet, I love pizza and beer, and I used to pull him around the block on walks. But now that I have been around some ladies I am learning. I still drink out of the toilet and I still love Pizza but I will sit on my spot while my foster mom and dad are eating (I need a couple reminders but then I remember to stay). And I am learning to walk nicely. With my gentle leader my foster mom can walk me with just 2 fingers on the leash. And I am going to training classes too.
And I am not a puppy anymore. I heard people like younger women. But do you really want to go through the potty training stage again? I am crate trained and housebroken. I am 5 years young, in great shape and plan on being around and active for awhile.
I am a very smart girl. I give high fives for “Touch Down Browns” and I know all the basic commands like sit, paw and down. Plus I learn really quickly what I am supposed to do and what I am not supposed to do. They tell me I am great with firm boundaries. One time I visited a lady who was in her 80’s and I figured out I couldn’t jump on her or play rough with her within a few minutes. I am still learning about the little kids though. I get so excited and I still have my tail so it’s hard not to wag it. On a plus side I am good with most other dogs and I get along well with some cats. I would have to meet your cat or dog first and have a person who is willing to take time for proper introductions.
I am very excitable when I first meet you but I do calm down. I have gotten used to sitting on the couch or lazy boy with you but I am working on that. I love having a soft place to sit so a nice doggy bed helps me not to sit up there… as often.
I would really like a fenced yard to play in but I have to warn once I jumped a fence (about 4 feet) and I know how to open a latch on a gate. But at my foster home my mom stays where I can see her and I don’t want to jump. Sometimes I look over the edge and put my paws up and she tells me “ehh ehh” I guess that’s human for No.
I am learning to use the TREADMILL now!! It was hard to get out for walks in the blizzard and I was getting hyper -- I like my work outs. So now I am up to about 15 minutes a day and then I curl up on my favorite recliner for a little chill time
So what's not to love about me. I am cute, I am smart, I am trained and I will love you with my whole doggie heart forever!!! I am in a foster home but my buddy Dexter is not. Its so much better than the kennels. Check him out if you think you might want to foster. And did you know we all need sponsors. It costs our foster moms and dads about $10/day to care for us and for Dexter it costs them like $15/day. So if you can do a day or a week let my people know.
